Before embarking on the journey of founding his own firm, Florian honed his skills at the Syracuse office of a prominent nationwide law firm, actively championing the rights of families. His journey began in the bustling heart of Manhattan, where he tirelessly navigated the complexities of divorce proceedings and related family law matters, advocating for custody, spousal and child support issues, and long-distance relocation in both Supreme and Family Court. Florian also thrived in his solo law practice in New York City, where his passion for family and matrimonial law intertwined with a commitment to general civil litigation and criminal law. With a fervent interest in international law, particularly international family law, Florian’s dedication extends beyond the courtroom as a former volunteer attorney with the Bronx Family Court program.
He proudly serves on the Attorneys for Children Panels (AFC) for Onondaga, Cayuga, and Jefferson Counties, fiercely representing minors in Supreme and Family Court litigations. Currently, he is the co-chair of the Family and Matrimonial Law Section of the Onondaga County Bar Association, channeling his energy into advocating for families across the community.
A native of Munich, Germany, Florian remains steadfastly committed to his roots, where he is also licensed to practice law. He earned his Juris Doctor degree with cum laude distinction from the University at Buffalo School of Law, complemented by an LL.M. degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, and an L.L.B. degree with cum laude distinction from the University of Munich, Germany. In addition, Florian holds an MA degree from Columbia University in New York City. His legal prowess is recognized far and wide, as he is licensed to practice law in New York, several United States District Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the Supreme Court of the United States, and in Germany. With an “AV-Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest accolade granted to lawyers in the United States and Canada, Florian stands as a beacon of excellence in the legal profession, and an amazing candidate for Town Justice.
